Belconnen's favorite penis shaped owl!

Look closely! Do you see it? It's probably not what Bruce Armstrong intended when designing his owl tribute for Belconnen but this sculpture, one of Canberra's most prominent BIG Things, has been nicknamed 'The Penis Owl' It's simply titled 'Owl' though and it was created in 2011 based off the Australian Powerful Owl Ninox Strenua. The BIG owl is positioned in the middle of a median strip on the Corner of Belconnen Way & Benjamin Way. Parking's a bit rough for this area so I'd strongly suggest parking at 6 Ware Pl, Belconnen. It's a 30 second walk to the sculpture and a safe place to park.

Fergus the Bull

Fergus the Bull So Fergus the bull doesn't have a physical address. He's found at a rest stop on the Forrest Highway between Millbridge and Eaton in Western Australia. You'll either need these Co-ordinates: -33.31494, 115.73681 OR you can load up my map , click the icon for Fergus the Bull and Google navigate your way there. (easier) Fergus the Bull is a sculpture by Russell Sheridan. Creator of ' Timothee Vasse ' and ' The Stick' He's not a BIG Thing, I really wouldn't know what to call him. It's a bull holding a chalice while striking a thinking pose. It's an extremely quirky sculpture

Hopetoun | Country High Tea

Colin Hughes and Sue Leighton I've seen accounts where people use teddys and objects as a theme for their accounts and once had the pleasure of meeting a fellow art enthusiast who once explained to me that they did so. It boiled down to personal hygiene and not being able to maintain it on long trips. It got me thinking about taking along something on my trip and admittedly between Darwin and Broom I had gone 6 days without washing my hair. Baby wipes are great for everything else but 6 days in the outback heat your hair looks disgusting and you begin to smell like Australia worst taxi driver. This is the Country High tea sculpture found on the main Rd between Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun, Western Australia. It was created by Colin Hughes and Sue Leighton and is one of fifteen sculptures that litter the trail. It's not a busy road but I did have a couple of cars go past.
