Lennox Gardens
I stopped by the Chinese Gardens on my Canberra Art Quest for the crane sculptures. It was hard to judge by the photos I'd seen online just how big they were but believed they may have been viable to be labelled as an Australian BIG Thing.
The structures and sculptures were a gift from Beijing and one does not simply visit a generous gift from our Communist friends without snapping photos of... well, everything!
Needless to say I discovered the cranes to be life sized and not BIG Thing worthy. The gardens were a really nice break from the constant address hoping I'd been doing all that afternoon. The walk through the area discovering the various sculptures and watching a mother & son feed the ducks was especially wonderful.
