So I've been guilty of calling this a 'BIG cushion' for years but I decided this year to list Matthew Hardings sculpture as Public Art.
It's not that it's not BIG! More, I felt, a cushion didn't really have a defined size and labelling something that frequently appears this size as a 'BIG Thing' just wasn't appropriate and waters down what'd a BIG Thing really is. It'll still appear in my IG Big thing gallery but for the purpose of this blog I'm throwing it in the Public Art box. Matthew created 'Cushions' in 2001 and it resides on the City Walk in front of Develin's City Chemist.
