BIG Dung Beetles
I was excited to see these. This is one of two larger than life wood sculptures found within Mckenzie Reserve, the other being large slaters. The park was created after the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires and is a beautiful space and one of the best parks I've visited so far.
If you zoom into the top picture and check the middle section of this gorgeous guy you'll see the artists initials. 'R.B 2011' I did some digging, and it took awhile. While I cant confirm, I do suspect this to be the work of Wood chainsaw artist Rob Bast. He's a local to that area and has made a few other larger than life animals I've also visited.
