What better way to say 'Hey! We have Tasmanian Devils' than with a BIG Tasmanian Devil.
This handsome 2m tall sculpture marks the entry to the Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary. In true Meg style I took a heap of photos while being touristy inside the sanctuary but most of my photos have been lost to laptop purges and what I have left I'll post in due course.
This sculpture is a tribute to 'Mickey' and is aptly named. Micky was the first tame Tasmanian Devil who lived at the sanctuary and became an advocate for his species. Mickey died in 1987 and lived for around 8 years.
