Glen Star

While this fabricated sculpture is a much larger than life lace monitor I'm more inclined, due to where it's placed and presented, to refer to this artwork as a public sculpture rather than a BIG Thing. 

The sculpture is called 'Varanus' and like most sculptures in the area it's a 2020 installment for the Sculpture down the Lachlan Art Trail 

At the time of my visit two other people were present taking photographs. Varanus is roughly 20 meters long and 5.5 meters high making him one impressive sculpture. He's placed in a grassy area on Greens Road, just off the intersection of Greens Rd and Newell Highway.
