Grenfell Street Art | Painted Silo by Heesco

Heesco

This was my last stop for the night. We made it to Grenfell with half an hour before the sun set and were delighted there was a free camp ground 1 minute from the silo itself.

The Grenfell Silo was painted by Heesco over a period of five weeks. The information boards were amazing and offered visitors all the brain food you could possibly want including the 180 liters of paint and 800 spray cans it took to complete his mural.

Heesco completed the Grenfell Silo in early 2019. At the time it was about the 25th across New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia collectively and possibly the artists second silo completed.

The mural was based on photographs taken by local D.A Yates and depicts agricultural themes common to the region; livestock, canola fields with the Weddin Mountains in the background
