Orange Street by Floria Tosca

Like many small cities Orange is revitalizing its CBD with a 3 year art program that's seen a great deal of color and vibrancy added to their city walls.

I was surprised to find this darker piece titled 'Biome' on a wall belonging to the Wesley Uniting church. It depicts a Spotted Paradalote sitting upon a skull throne. Of course where there is death there is also life and from the skull grows a fungus reaching for the sky. The background springs with life as blue banded and neon cuckoo bees harvest the surrounding flora

I really enjoyed this mural. At first it came across dark but the more I looked and observed the more I noted the cycle of life theme and saw the beauty in it.
