I never did find out who painted these amazing murals. I asked a few of the local artists and both seemed surprised by their existence. 

I happened on them on a happy accident while visiting a sculpture nearby by Dr Favardin and was captivated straight away.

These two walls adorn an amenity block near the playground in Rossiter Park, Aikenvale.

I did do a little searching into the Townsville City Safe Project and while there was some mentioning of creating a safer and pleasing atmosphere through art and rehabilitation there was no active information or stories regarding the program or these murals which was disappointing.
