Personally I feel the hollow section looks extremely phallic and once you see it, it can't be unseen.

BTW, I'm extremely new to Sydney so I got off at Dulwich Station and WALKED all the way to Johnson Park because I didn't realize until getting to the park that Arlington Lightrail sat just outside this sculpture.
