'William the Good' Sculpture by William Theed

William Theed

Officially this may be the oldest sculpture I've ever photographed. It's a sculpture of Albert the Good, Consort of Queen Victoria. The pair are placed either side of Maquarie Street near Hyde Park with Victoria in Queens Square and Albert on the corner of Hyde Park Barracks,

The sculpture was brought to life by William Theed in 1866 making the sculpture a whopping 156 years old!
