St Arnaud Painted Silo Art by Kyle Torney

Kyle Torney

Titled 'Hope' this painted silo was a fitting name. The silo depicts a gold prospector on the left, inspecting his gold pan hopeful to find gold and his family on the right, also hopeful the prospector finds gold as it means the opportunity to eat.

The title also reflects the artists hope that the work he's done across St Arnaud will help bolster tourism after Covid 19 and the Governments decision to shut down Victoria decimating tourism.

The artist submitted four proposals to the public and the township voted on their favourite. The artist then spent 800 hours painting this monochrome beauty for the town making it the 38th installment to the Silo art trail.
