The Gymnist, The Basketballer & The Sprinter, were all created for the 2000 Olympic & Paralympic Games. They originally sat on top of the AMP tower in Sydney until 2003 where The AMP gifted The Gymnast and The Basketballer to the Nation and were relocated to the AIS (Australian Institute of Sport) in Canberra.
The Sprinter remains in Sydney and is located within Sydney Olympic Park. The AIS is home to an impressive array of public sculptures which litter the surrounding buildings. It's well worth a visit!
