I didn't have this on my map. I googled public art whilst in Gundagai and as I scrolled through pictures of this exact sculpture I peeking up from my phone to gauge where I was and which street would be best to take and there it was!
Right in front of me lol It's quite a lovely sculpture and I really enjoyed the commemorative story that accompanied it.
I REALLY enjoyed this proactive and positive approach to commemorating and acknowledging the towns first custodians and the towns history. It was informative, educational and due to the nature of the story it really emphasizes the true spirit of humanity. It really was quite uplifting. We don't often read stories about Aboriginal heroes but if there were more art like this sculpture by Darien Pullen I think people would stop and listen more.
