Edmondson Park | James Dive, Nico, MCRT Studio, Paper Couture & More

Welcome to Ed Square! The newly opened shopping district for Edmondson Park.
Situated conveniently next to the train station this vast array of shops has almost everything you'll ever need. They loose points for not having an Aldi: P

I've been wanting to photograph the front of this ever since we moved but haven't summoned the motivation until today. Ed Square has an interesting array of Public Artworks.

I originally went to photograph Nico's mural but found so much more! 'Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening' is an art instillation by James Dive and is called 'Greetings' The artist said he wanted to take advantage of the new community spirit by having the shopping complex greet shoppers no matter the time of day. This artwork lights up at night.

This store is outside the plaza and is photographable after hours should the stores close. It's found on the exterior wall of the Masala Kitchen & Gin Bar. While you can photograph the outside mural note there is a second mural inside the store. The door was cracked open so I took advantage of the clear shot. Wish I could have gotten closer but the door was almost barricaded which made me feel unwelcome. I don't think they were quite open or were doing take away service only

'Together We Grow'  Nicos contribution to Ed Square. The Shopping center had a fair few large scale murals through out both complexes I suspect belong to Nico. Unfortunately I'm unable to confirm. This artwork has two sections; one section outside and photographable after hours and the second just inside the foyer.

I found these paper flowers through out the shopping center. They appeared on hoardings while the shops slowly fill out. I hope they keep some or make a feature wall somewhere in memory of these sweet flowers that once brightened the vacant spaces.

I'm unsure who painted this mural. There's a fair few murals at Ed Square that aren't overly advertised and will require some digging.

If the artist is known to you please reach out and leave me a comment

There's a few murals at Ed Square that I will need to do further research for. If you know who any of these murals belong to, let me know.

Despite going to the Shopping center with the belief there was only one mural there and being surprised by the abundance of art I got home and learnt I still missed a couple. I knew about the Nico mural on a set of stairs but oddly failed to locate it.

There's also an arcade set to open that has a few comic inspired boards installed. It doesn't quite match the style of Alex Lehour but his work has surprised me in the past. The last mural I never knew about appears to be on the roof or above ground car park. It appears to be a 1m high and 30m long strip created by The Art of Wall. I never saw escalators going up but Maty was waiting in the car and I did take awhile. I felt bad after 20 minutes and perhaps missed spotting it during my rush.
