I honestly couldn't decide between a black n white and colored version so I'll post both. I was unlucky with the day I went and the fountain had been turned off for maintenance. 

This is the El Alamein Fountain. When it's working it is a master or engineering and once of the prettiest fountains I've ever seen. There is  smaller less elaborate  version of this fountain at the National Art Gallery of Brisbane created by Thom Blake but that's another post.

The El Alamein Fountain is a memorial to the Australian Imperial Forces (9th Division) to commemorate the Egyptian Battle of El Alamein during WWII. It is the second fountain I've visited by Mr Woodward, the first being in Canberra
