Warrimoo - Bob Treasure

Warrimoo Street Art | Blinky Bill Mural by Bob Treasure

Bob Treasure
2014

'Magpie' is one of three murals in Warrimoo created by Bob Treasure to celebrate the towns claim to fame. During the 1930's the author of Blinky Bill, Dorothy Wall, lived in Warrimoo and wrote her second book while a resident.

Bob started the project after seeing some graffiti in town back in 2014 and asked council for permission to beautify the space. He believed Dorothy's characters way was a nice tribute to the towns history and a way to encourage local children to take an interest in reading.

Miss Magpie is a small mural and located prominently on the façade of Robyn's Nest with a second mural 20m down the road next to the over highway pedestrian bridge and a third located at Possum Park.
