72 BIG Fish of the Commonwealth Games

In 2006 72 BIG aquatic sea creatures were created for the Commonwealth Games.

They were placed onto barges and paraded down the Yarra River in an amazing sound and light presentation for the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.

Upon completion of the 2006 Commonwealth Games the fish were, provided towns met a certain criteria, donated to councils across Victoria as tourist attractions.

Of the 72 aquatic creatures created half are known to me and half are still unaccounted for.

Upon adopting one of the Commonwealth Fish Fish Creek found it's adopted fish damaged beyond repair. Petitioning for another Fish, Fish Creek set a goal to combine the two fish sculptures to make one complete fish.

Thus creating the The Blue Angel Fish
