Canberra Public Art Map

I've visited Canberra three times now. Each trip was 3-4 days long. Address hoping from morning till night cramming in as much art as I could manage and despite 9 days straight I'm still yet to be satisfied with my map 

My last trip was 28/03/2021 and between renovating my home I'm still working on uploading the content I've visited. I focused on Street Art and Public Art that visit which should see a significant update to both categories over the next month

ACT BIG Things and Roadside Fare

ACT - Public Art

There's a fine line bet/ween oversized Public Art and a BIG Thing.
Sometimes the definition blurs and I struggle to differentiate the two resulting in a sculpture being placed somewhere it shouldn't.

We each have our own interpretation of a BIG Thing, some see it as a fiberglass tourist trap and others are less strict viewing anything oversized to be list worthy.

I've spent a bit of time in 2020  redefining my lists to better reflect what I feel is a BIG Thing and what is perhaps more oversized Public Art. I'm still not quite satisfied and often find myself resisting the urge to move things back to my BIG Thing list.

Utility Art

Icon Water have made utility art extremely exciting in Canberra! They're transformed around 30 IconWater sites and hired local artist GraffikPaint to transform these mundane sites into spectacular works of art. I've made it a personal goal to visit as many IconWater projects as I could on my last visit so here's what I've found so far.
